These pages are all about trout fishing, salmon fishing and sea trout fishing, with particular reference to the great variety of fly fishing available on the lochs and rivers of Scotland.

The menu on the left will lead you to 250 pages of information and photographs, featuring around 1000 MAPS of the fishing waters of Scotland, from the wild trout lochs of the Scottish highlands and islands to the great salmon rivers of the east coast, from the small but productive spate streams in the west to the grand sea trout fishing rivers of the Solway Firth. Other pages will attempt to give an idea of the fishing tackle, tactics and flies commonly employed in trout, sea trout salmon fishing here in Scotland with complementary pages and articles on related subjects such as water and weather, maps, accommodation for fishermen, fishing knots, books, recipes and links to useful fishing related websites.

The three main species of wild salmonids here in Scotland are Atlantic salmon, brown trout and sea trout - although technically it is now generally agreed that the sea trout is simply a brown trout which migrates to and from the sea annually. Grayling, although not so widespread in their distribution as the other species, will also merit some attention in the relevant sections.
