Trout Fishing Aberfoyle, Scotland
Aberfoyle, the main tourist centre at the southern
end of the Trossachs, makes an excellent centre from which the
visiting trout fisherman can explore the varied trout fly fishing of
the area, from Loch Arklet and Loch Katrine to the north, best
fished from a boat, to the rainbow trout of one of the few lakes in
Scotland, the Lake of Menteith.

In addition to the information provided
here, I would recommend that anyone planning a fishing or
walking trip in Scotland should equip themselves with a compass
and the appropriate Ordnance Survey map. The most useful of the
O.S. maps for the fisherman is the Landranger series, scale

relevant O.S. Map number.
