A Walk in the Hills

A day's trout fishing on the Kinlochewe hill lochs

By John Gray

www.graysofkilsyth.com

A few pictures taken of a day out on the Kinlochewe hill lochs June 2007...

A look back at Loch Maree from 1000 feet

Kinlochewe Hill Walk

At last..... we reach the hill lochs after a two hour climb

Well worth the effort

a loch full of trout ..... three or four to the pound but as wild as the hills

Unhooking a trout

Perfection in the wild

Time to take in the scenery

...... and a cup of tea

before the long walk back

The Kinlochewe hill lochs are controlled by the Kinlochewe Angling Club. Permits are available from the Kinlochewe Hotel, priced £5 per day or £25 per week.
